I started the journey to my new lifestyle in January of 2013 when I was lucky enough to have Iris’ daughter in my Pre-K class at Goddard. After randomly asking Iris some advice on a healthy snack option, she came to me and asked if she could train me 3 times a week for a month before they went back to Texas. I had mixed feelings. I was excited, scared, motivated, nervous and pretty skeptical. I had been working with a trainer already for about 2 months and there was no change. I was actually gaining weight and when you weigh 202.2 lbs gaining weight is NOT what you want to see. We immediately started working out and every 3-4 days I was losing about 5 pounds at a time.
