What is ONE thing you learned from this challenge that will help you continue your journey with an ALL-IN attitude?
One thing that I learned from this challenge is that it’s not all about me!  I loved doing the partner challenge because it allowed me to share my victories/struggles with my partner.  It took the focus off myself and placed it on us as a team.

In the end, did you get the results you desired...physically? spiritually?
Physically, I feel that I am at or close to the weight I want to be so my goal was more oriented to cardio strength & endurance.  I was able to achieve the goal I set for myself to beat my pace time as I ran the 5K in Dimmitt.  Spiritually, I realize that I will never “arrive” at a place where I am satisfied with my spiritual growth, but I always welcome the opportunity to grow.

What factors do you believe contributed to your success? or lack thereof?
I believe that having a partner who was counting on me helped greatly to contribute to my success in this challenge and I hope that I did the same for her.

What is your next step on your continuing your health journey?
As I continue my health journey, I realize that I need to stay focused on each of the SWEAT principles, especially eating clean, CONSISTENTLY.  As Amy & I concluded our partner challenge, we both said that we would like to continue with the accountability that we had started during the challenge.  That hasn’t happened, so my goal is for us to begin to check in with each other on a regular basis once again.  One of the most rewarding things in my health journey is the fact that I get to encourage my family on their health journeys!

What is one word of encouragement you would give someone who is struggling on their health journey?
I actually didn’t start on my health journey until I was almost 50 years old!!!
It’s never too late!
If someone is struggling or just wants to get started I would tell them “Just do it!”
The first step of any journey is the most difficult, but the rewards are worth it!
I can’t begin to tell you how much better I feel and how much more energy I have now that I am working out and fueling my body as I should.  Don’t focus all your attention on the weight loss…..there are so many other health benefits that come with getting healthy!
Ultimately, your health journey is a part of your spiritual journey.  They go hand in hand.
So remember that God is always there to help you...
fix your eyes on Jesus…
and He will guide you to becoming who He wants you to be.
