Read Acts 2-4
My verse:
Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” (Acts 4:29, 30 NIV)
This was a great reminder that the power to share God's Good News comes from Him alone--we are bold and confident only because He grants us the power. And this power in turn is what brings about miracles in our lives and the lives of those around us. I am just an instrument of God's grace and power. Anything I do or say is only significant if God chooses to make it so.
I encourage you today, if you are feeling inadequate or less than, believe that God grants you the power and boldness you need to be an instrumental part of His work. Maybe you are over-confident in your abilities--I encourage you to remember apart from Christ, we can do nothing that is significant.
What is your insight from today's reading?
